    • Yes – Fossil fuels are a finite resource. The sun will be showering the Earth with non-stop energy for next 5 billion years.

      Cars require a lot of energy! They can charge on solar power but not run stand-alone on solar power. Most solar panels generate about 300 or 400 watts of power per square meter. You’d need quite a few to run the lightest weight car.

      To answer your question: While I think any solar technology that is reliable, affordable and abundant is going to benefit developing countries. As far know, conventional solar panels seem to be dominant. There is amazing creative use of all forms of solar in these nations that us in “developed” countries can benefit from!
